As of May 2, 2015, the company operated 1,034 stores across 47 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada, comprised of 242 Ann Taylor stores, 118 Ann Taylor Factory stores, 546 Loft stores and 128 Loft outlets, in addition to 6 international franchise stores.

During fiscal 2014, the company opened opened 50 new stores, including 3 Ann Taylor, 8 Ann Taylor factory, 17 Loft, 17 Loft outlet and 5 Lou & Grey stores. In the first quarter of fiscal 2015, the company opened 8 new stores and closed 4 existing stores. Ann Taylor stores are approximately 4,500 square feet in size, but the company is downsizing existing stores and opening new stores based on a new format that is smaller than in the past. Ann Taylor Factory stores average approximately 6,600 square feet, but new stores will be approximately 5,600 square feet. Loft stores average approximately 5,700 square feet, but new stores are expected to average 5,400 square feet. Loft Outlet stores average approximately 6,600 square feet, with new stores averaging approximately 6,200 square feet. Lou & Grey stores are approximately 2,300 square feet.
