As of Jul 30, 2016, the company operated 1,517 retail stores and outlets in 48 states, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Canada including 720 Chico’s stores & outlets, 504 White House | Black Market stores & outlets, and 293 Soma Intimates boutiques & outlets.

In fiscal 2015, the company opened 40 stores (15 Chico's, 9 WH|BM, and 13 Soma) and closed 69 stores (24 Chico's, 19 WH|BM, 7 Soma and 20 Boston Proper). During the first half of fiscal 2016, the comapny opened 12 stores (2 Chico's, 3 WH|BM, and 7 Soma) and closed 13 stores (7 Chico's, 5 WH|BM, and 1 Soma). In fiscal 2016, the company expects to open approximately 25 new stores while closing approximately 50 existing stores.

All stores are leased. Boutiques are located in upscale outdoor destination shopping areas, lifestyle specialty centers, shopping malls, and some standalone street front locations. Outlet stores are located in premium outlet centers. Overall, stores average 2,400 selling square feet with selling space representing approximately 83% of gross square footage. Approximate average store size per format is: 2,800 selling square feet for Chico's boutiques and 2,500 selling square feet for Chico's outlets, 2,300 selling square feet for WH|BM boutiques and 2,000 selling square feet for WH|BM outlets, and 1,800 selling square feet for Soma boutiques and outlets.
