As of Jan 27, 2017, the company operated 4,690 stores throughout 49 states, Puerto Rico and Canada, comprised of 309 Ann Taylor Stores, 679 LOFT stores, 862 Justice stores, 741 dressbarn stores, 993 Maurices stores, 754 Lane Bryant and 352 Catherines stores, as well as 92 international franchise stores.

In fiscal 2017, the company opened 63 stores (2 Justice, 8 Lane Bryant, 28 maurices, 6 dressbarn, 1 Catherines, and 18 ANN), and closed 162 stores (39 Justice, 16 Lane Bryant, 16 maurices, 36 dressbarn, 15 Catherines, and 40 ANN). During the first half of fiscal 2018, the company opened 29 stores (14 Maurices) and closed 146 stores. The company expects to close 150 to 200 stores in fiscal 2018.

All stores are leased, and generally have an initial term of 10 years with one or more 5-year options to extend. Nearly 60% of stores have leases expiring in or before 2021, of which 53% have renewal options.

Justice, Lane Bryant and Catherines operate specialty retail and outlet stores primarily in mall locations, strip centers, lifestyle centers and outlet centers. Justice, Lane Bryant and Catherines stores average 4,200, 5,500, 4,200 square feet, respectively. Maurices operates specialty retail and outlet stores, which are concentrated in small markets (approximately 25,000 to 100,000 people) and typically located near large discount and department stores, and average approximately 5,100 square feet. dressbarn operates specialty retail and outlet stores located primarily in convenient strip shopping centers in major trading and high-density markets, and in surrounding suburban areas, which average approximately 7,900 square feet. ANN retail stores are located in mall locations, lifestyle centers and outlet centers, and average approximately 5,600 feet.
