All stores, outlets and concessions are leased pursuant to long-term leases, typically 5 to 10 years for outlet stores and 7 to 10 years for specialty stores. Certain leases allow for terminations after a predetermined period (generally 1 to 3 years) in the event that a particular location does not achieve specified sales volume, and some leases have options to renew.
Specialty retail stores are primarily based in upscale and regional malls and urban retail centers and average approximately 1,700 square feet in the US and 1,800 square feet internationally. Outlet stores are based in manufacturer outlet centers and average approximately 3,200 square feet in the US and 3,600 square feet internationally. Concessions are located in department stores and through a number of airports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and average approximately 1,500 square feet.
