As of May 1, 2016, the company operated 116 stores in the US, and franchised 183 stores domestically and 836stores in over 25 countries internationally.

During fiscal 2016, the company: opened 12 new stores, closed 8 store, acquired 1 stores from franchisees; opened 19 and closed 4 domestic franchise stores; and opened 140 and closed 25 international franchise stores. In the first quarter of fiscal 2017, the company opened 30 new stores and closed 18 existing stores, systemwide. By the end of fiscal 2017, the company expects to have opened 30 new domestic shops and 120 to 140 new international franchise shops.

All of year-end, the company owned the land and building for 37 stores, owned the building and leased the land for 38 stores, leased both the land and building for 21 stores and leased space for 20 in-line and end cap locations.

Traditional factory stores generally are located in freestanding suburban locations and range in size from approximately 2,800 to 5,500 square feet. Small factory stores, which is the primary format the company will use going forward, typically occupy from approximately 2,700 to 3,000 square feet and are located in both end-cap and free-standing locations. Satellite shops, consisting of hot shops and fresh shops, typically range in size from approximately 1,800 to 2,400 square feet and are located in shopping centers, malls and other retail-oriented locations.
