As of Mar 31, 2018, the company owned, operated or had interests in 1,008 locations with 11,71 screens in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and 14 countries internationally.

In fiscal 2017, the company opened 12 new theaters with 96 screens, acquired 128 theaters with 736 screens, which includes the acquisition of Nordic, permanently closed 258 screens, temporarily closed 547 screens and reopened 584 screens upon completion of experience upgrades. During the first quarter of fiscal 2018, the company added 23 screeens, acquired 22 screens and closed 90 screens, while closing 6 net theaters. As of Dec 31, 2017, the company has lease agreements for 32 theaters with 289 screens which are under construction or development and are expected to open from 2018 to 2020.

The majority of the Company's operations are conducted in premises occupied under lease agreements with initial base terms ranging generally from 12 to 15 years, with certain leases containing options to extend the leases for up to an additional 20 years.

Theaters in the US generally range in size from 15,000 to 135,000 square feet with an average of 11.0 screens per theater, and eMarketer estimates US theaters average approximately 74,000 square feet, significantly larger than the average for international locations.
